Natasha Benjamin Consulting

Natasha Benjamin has spent more than ten years working on marine conservation issues including fisheries, aquaculture and sustainable seafood. Her background is in marine science and fisheries policy with a degree in Marine Biology from Boston University and a Masters in Marine Policy from the University of Miami’s Rosentiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Natasha then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work with the Institute for Fisheries Resources, where she was the Program Manager and Southwest Regional Director for some years. Natasha works closely
with local fishing communities in California on collaborative research, disseminating scientific information, sustainable seafood education and fisheries management reform. She currently is an independent consultant and has worked for numerous marine conservation groups including the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Seafood Choices Alliance. Natasha is also a member of the City of El Cerrito’s Environmental Quality Committee.
